S&S School of Dance intends to keep its dancers, staff, and families safe during the pandemic while still providing the quality dance education that they have come to expect. We are confident that, if we work together, we can ensure a safe and fun dance year for all involved. Here is how we plan to accomplish this:
We will continue to keep the studio up to the cleanliness standards that you have come to expect. In addition, we will be sanitizing frequent-contact surfaces and props between classes. Tumbling mats will be steamed daily.
We will limit the number of people coming in and out of the studio. This includes closing our waiting room and viewing rooms to parents.
We will take the temperature of each student and staff member who enters the studio. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 will not be allowed to enter.
We will do our best to ensure that students exercise recommended social distancing while in the studio before, during, and after classes. We have limited class sizes and altered our studio space to aide in social distancing. Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
Please drop your child off in the 10-minute window before her/his class begins. Because our new entry procedures require a staff member to be at the door when students arrive, it is critical that students arrive no earlier than 10-minutes before the class and no later than the class time.
Please ensure that your child is already dressed for class when s/he arrives with hair pulled up back away from his/her face. There will be no space available to change clothes at the studio, and staff members will not be assisting with hair.
Please send your student with a water bottle and dance shoes in a small bag. Nothing else will be allowed in the dance studio, including book bags, instruments, lunch boxes, etc.
Please pick your child up promptly after class and do not plan to leave your child at the studio if s/he has a break between classes. Since the waiting areas are closed, children cannot stay in the studio to wait for an upcoming class.
Please do not send your child to class if s/he is feeling sick.
